PROGRAMME INFORMATION
This Programme comprises:
A Business English course for ESOL learners (weekly language classes for 12 weeks with set homework tasks)
Job interview practice
Work experience, volunteer work or paid work (the students will be encouraged to find placements with the help of the Course Tutor and the company)
Support from a volunteer mentor
Language-focused community-based tasks
This is the programme for students at an intermediate level!
Start date: 21st September 2024
Day and time: Saturdays from 2:45 PM to 5 PM
Duration: 12 weeks
Location: Sleaford Children Centre, Moneys Mill Complex, Carre Street, Sleaford NG34 7TW

Introductions and describing yourself
Job adverts and job applications
Structuring a CV
Writing a CV for a specific role
Making a formal phone call
Writing a professional email and cover letter
Preparing for a job interview
Having a job interview
Receiving a job offer
Workplace communication
Business networking
Fees:
Free (funded). This intensive ESOL Business English Programme is funded by The Lincolnshire Community Foundation and the Lincolnshire Homes for Ukraine team. However, a £60 deposit will be required to confirm your enrolment and commitment to complete the course. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the course IF your attendance exceeds 80%.

The Children's Centre is an accessible, safe, and welcoming environment.
Parents are invited to contact us at the time of enrolment if they wish to attend with their children. We will organise children's activities for a small, suggested donation of £2.
Additionally, students will be required to actively participate and engage with the community-based homework tasks to successfully complete the course and receive a personalised letter of reference.
