Use the cut-up vocabulary cards. Stronger students/classes can do this in pairs, weaker students/classes can do this in small groups to make it easier. Just make sure there is an A card and a B card per pair/group and that they don’t show each other their cards. Allow time at the start for the students to check they remember the meanings of the words. Demonstrate the task first.
Use the cut-up “reflection cards”. The setup is akin to ‘speed-dating’. It’s important to set up this activity correctly in terms of physical space, so it’s quick and easy for students to move chairs and everyone knows who’s standing up and where they’re going. Make it clear that only half the class will be standing and moving chairs and that they must move in the same direction – except for the person on the end.
Please be aware that there are cards on the Word documents that require copying and cutting up so there are enough cards for each student (and visitor) to have a copy. Depending on the time available, the teacher will be able to include/omit/adaptt the activities accordingly.
